When I set out to create Bambu, I wanted a name that symbolised more than just business. It needed to reflect my values, my network, and our shared connection to agriculture.
After reflecting on the message I wanted my business to convey, I realised the qualities of bamboo aligned perfectly:

‘Bambu’ is the Indonesian spelling—a nod to a country that holds unforgettable memories for me. During my travels in Indonesia in 2022, I explored its beautiful islands and culture. At the end of my journey, on a beach at sunset, my now-fiancé proposed.
The ‘why’ behind Bambu is simple: to build a business grounded in relationships, honesty, and long-term growth. After working in environments where sales targets often took precedence over people, I knew I wanted to take a different approach—one that focused on meaningful connections rather than quick wins.
